Chartered in the Ottawa area in 1902, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has provided stagehand labour in the Ottawa, Kingston and Belleville areas for over 100 years. Local 471 was chartered in 1971 specifically for the National Arts Centre in Ottawa and now incorporates the proud tradition of the I.A.T.S.E. for all of Eastern Ontario. Local 471 represents a work force of over 300 workers at over 20 different venues and many different employers such as the National Arts Centre, Scotiabank Place, the City of Ottawa, the City of Kingston, Live Nation, OYE, The Great Canadian Theatre Company, CBC, and Dennis Ruffo Productions.

Local 471 has the skilled personnel and the experience to help any producer meet their labour requirements in a timely and cost effective manner, regardless of how big or small their needs.
